As part of the collaboration, HL Robotics will contribute its autonomous parking robot, PARKIE, to improve parking efficiency. HL D&I Halla will evaluate field applicability and provide construction engineering support. Junglim Architecture will analyze the effectiveness of applying underground-specific design and take the lead in establishing new design standards.

Once implemented, the solution is expected to reduce both construction costs and time by minimizing the required underground parking space. It will also improve air quality in underground garages and enhance overall user convenience by alleviating parking shortages.

The three companies plan to establish a concrete development roadmap and sequentially carry out follow-up tasks such as standardizing robotic parking system design, conducting cost-benefit analysis, and evaluating construction feasibility.

Meanwhile, PARKIE, the autonomous parking robot developed by HL Robotics, a leading company in the robotic parking industry, was awarded the Best Innovation Award at CES 2024, the world’s largest consumer electronics show. The robot is currently undergoing commercialization.
