‘Parkie’ Set for Local Government Delivery in H2… Stanley Robotics Eyes North American Expansion

HL Robotics' autonomous parking robot Parkie undergoing live demonstration testing
HL Robotics, the HL Group’s newly established robotics arm, is poised to take its parking robot business to the next level, with its first delivery of the autonomous robot 'Parkie' expected in the second half of this year. In parallel, Stanley Robotics—acquired by HL last year—is set to expand its presence in the North American market.
According to industry sources on the 17th, HL Robotics plans to deliver one unit of 'Parkie' to a local government entity in Korea later this year. Parkie is an AMR-based (Autonomous Mobile Robot) parking robot developed by HL Robotics with Level 4 autonomy, requiring no driver intervention. If finalized, the deal would mark the company’s first official delivery since its launch just over a year ago.
HL Robotics, a wholly owned subsidiary of HL Holdings—the business-oriented holding company of HL Group—was founded in September 2023 in anticipation of the global parking robot market reaching KRW 9 trillion (USD 6.7 billion) by 2030.
Given its strategic importance to the Group’s future, HL Robotics quickly gained momentum. Just one month after its launch, the company completed the acquisition of a 74.1% stake in Stanley Robotics, a French parking robot pioneer.
HL Holdings participated in a KRW 49 billion rights offering by HL Robotics to fund the acquisition. Of the capital raised, KRW 32.2 billion was allocated for the share purchase, with the remaining KRW 16.8 billion designated for operational use.
In addition to foreign equity investment, HL Group also transferred relevant in-house capabilities. Last month, HL Robotics took over the MSTG (Mobility Solution Technology Group) business unit from HL Mando, the Group’s automotive parts affiliate.
Established in 2021, MSTG focused on autonomous robotic mobility solutions. The transfer effectively consolidates the Group’s robotics business under HL Robotics.

HL Robotics' revenue growth roadmap
With its first delivery nearing, HL Robotics has also set near-term performance targets—KRW 5.8 billion in revenue for this year, increasing to KRW 16.9 billion in 2026 and KRW 27.1 billion in 2027.
To meet these goals, the company plans to diversify its customer base to include hotels and department stores, aiming to deliver 15 Parkie units next year and 208 units by 2027.
In addition to Parkie, HL Robotics also plans to commercialize its patrol robot 'Goalie' starting next year.
HL Robotics is also accelerating Stanley Robotics' global expansion. Currently, its flagship robot 'Stan' is operational at four locations across Europe and North America.
Stan features a centralized Fleet Management System (FMS), enabling real-time monitoring and control from a single location.
Stan currently operates at Lyon Airport in France, Gatwick Airport in the UK, a logistics center in Germany, and a major logistics hub in Toronto, Canada.
HL Robotics plans to further expand Stan's footprint by deploying additional units in the Northeastern and Southeastern regions of the United States.
An HL Robotics official stated, “We are committed to making this year the first official chapter in the commercialization of parking robots in Korea.”
